Objectives

The transition from executive protection agent to management roles often brings unique challenges that many new managers and team leads are not prepared to tackle. This course is designed to address the crucial gap between field expertise and managerial competencies, specifically tailored for executive protection.

Participants

The course is designed for executive protection professionals who already have management responsibilities; for new managers, team leads and detail leads; and for aspiring managerial talent. Participants will typically have managerial responsibilities at one or both of two levels:

Program Management

This role involves overarching responsibilities such as overseeing entire protection programs, managing client relationships, and handling high-level operational tasks including budgeting and scheduling. Program managers troubleshoot at a macro level, ensuring alignment with client expectations and the seamless integration of various components of the security service.

Detail Management

Operating with a narrower focus, detail managers oversee individual security details, small teams, or even specific projects. Their responsibilities might include managing the logistics of a specific trip or event, coordinating team assignments, and ensuring operational readiness on a project level. Ensuring that all in-house team members manage protective details the same way promotes operational continuity and protective quality.

Course timeline

OUR FOCUS

Streamlining processes and resolving common issues before they develop.

Step One

2-4 weeks before the course is scheduled to start, we will set up a working call for an in-depth conversation with the team manager and other key personal to discuss specific training needs.

Step Two

3-5 days before the course we will send the course curriculum to the team manager and the key people who participated in the working call, and we will adjust the proposed course curriculum based on discussion/feedback.

Step Three

Two senior instructors from Executive Support and Logistics come to your team to teach the course. The course is normally 2×8 hours with a focus on interactive training that includes sharing practical knowledge and technical experience, PowerPoints, handouts, and discussions.

Step Four

As part of the course, we offer four quarterly follow-ups in the form of live webinars-style calls where team management, key personnel, and all course participants can join. This is to follow up on the topics covered in the course, answer questions, and advise on challenges or potential issues that have developed after putting course learning outcomes into practice.
